A warm, family-like atmosphere is our aim when it comes to the owners club meets (short for meetings) we organise at least once per year. It’s always a memorable, pleasant occasion when fellow Vel Satis owners meet together to discuss their cars over a meal, go on a nice scenic drive and to get to know each other in general. The meets the Vel Satis Owners Club UK has organised to date include:
June 11th 2011 – Wolseley Arms, Staffordshire
For our first ever meeting, 6 Vel Sati was a good start and all the owners got on really well, with friendships being forged and an enjoyable day had by all, encompassing lunch in the pub, a drive around Biltwith Reservoir and then drinks back at the pub before bidding farewell.
December 10th 2011 – Tebay, Cumbria
We enjoyed the June meeting so much, that Robert and Kasia, who work at Tebay Services in Cumbria, couldn’t resist sneaking another meet in before 2011 came to a close. Only four cars came this time due to the northerly location and the snowy weather, but we had a good time nonetheless.
November 24th 2012 – Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire
The much-anticipated 2012 meeting was attended by a very healthy fleet of 9 Vel Sati. Most of them turned out to be 3.5 V6 petrol models this year. The drive around the beautiful Northamptonshire sandstone villages around Naseby and Pitsford Water Reservoir was great and the unusual surroundings of the Sywell aviation restaurant, museum and airfield added to the occasion nicely.
