The big hands have taken a pounding changing the plugs in FLO Laugh

It is not the plugs of course, but the hoses.  Hoses and more hoses.

Plus those pesky spring hose clips………even with a proper hose clip tool they are murder.

If doing it again I would change most of those clips for Mirkalor hose clips or similar. Hopefully not be doing again less a coil pack goes. Those platinum plugs are good for 80k easily.  My old ones had 82k and were working good, although the gap must have been 1.4mm instead of the 1.1mm.

I left the air filter in but loosened the rubber spigots that attach it to inner wing (silicon spray) You can then take the short hose section between air filter and motorised throttle off. That lets the plenum chamber with throttle come out after disconnecting water hoses etc etc. I found I could not get plenum out until I had taken a coil and its bolt off……..it was just fouling the cast plenum (inlet manifold) other wise. That may be why Dialogys shows the lower engine tie bar off, to move engine slightly on mountings.

What a relief it is to see this and get those plugs out.

That's a job I am holding off doing…I'm on 68k now and although the service book says 72k for the change I reckon if its driven enough the plugs should see you through to 80k plus.  Not an easy job so impressed by your efforts sir!
