I just wanted to know which vehicle it's from. Laguna II? It is a chrome handle, incidentally.

No, the reason I wanted to establish whether they were Laguna II handles or from another model, is that they don't fit the Vel Satis!

I was given a couple of chrome handles, which the owner thought were from a Laguna but he couldn't remember. I tried fitting them and the left side of the handle wouldn't fit flush with the body. When I checked the handle with the original, I realised that there is a small difference in the left side clip. The number I quoted is stamped into the underside of the handle, so I thought this would bring up the required information on the Renault parts system.

OK, thanks. So, Laguna II handles should fit but the Megane/Scenic ones obviously don't.

I am very interested in the possibility of a cross reference for VS parts shared with other models.  My current problem is rear parking sensors which either give the 5 second failure  tone or a combination of tones which sounds like someone sending Morse code and occasionally one of the tones ( when the car is approaching an obstacle ) sounds like the proper warning heard when the system is working correctly.  It would be useful to be able to know which parking sensor parts are common to other models, Laguna, etc?    If anyone has any further knowledge on the parking sensors apart from reseating all the plugs I should be grateful for ideas.  I hope this is not too off topic of this thread.

I'm sure our resident parts department man, David, will be able to confirm which other models the sensors are used on.

If you're not sure which sensors are faulty, check eddie.eagles post here. You can find detailed information about removal in a more recent post by David here

Yes it worth looking at the links posted as they list the part numbers,i would stick to the L shaped sensors same as fitted.

I wouldn,t suggest buying a S/H item, its just not worth the hassle if it goes wrong, the ones i bought from E-bay were spot on as originals.

I had the same issue, long 5 sec bleep(faulty)but i had one working which then bleeped when it wanted so it all got rather annoying,4 new sensors sorted it right out.
