Hi I am Phil from Preston. I am the proud owner of 2 Vel Satis 3.0 Dci's. The first one I bought 8 years ago with just 39000 miles on the clock. It is an Initiale with cream leather, part wood steering wheel and rear dvd player. It also has the electric sunroof. It has now done 160000 miles and runs like a dream.Apart from a couple of electric window regulators and routine maintenance plus tyres it has been very reliable. The second one I bought 4.5 years ago with 63000 on the clock. It has black leather and is an Initiale aswell. It has now done 100000 miles. They are both silver and I love them to bits.I am not very good with computers etc. but if I can work out how to post pictures I will do. My driveway looks like a Renault dealership forecourt. 3 Meganes and 2 Vel Satis. Now I have managed to post my first message I will try to keep up with regular posts, cheers everybody,Phil.Smile

Hi Phil,

Welcome! It's good to hear from another VS owner.

We seem to be a bit thin on the ground recently.

There was a black 3.5 Initiale listed in Preston on fleabay a few weeks ago, seems it had auto trouble. Then it ended without selling I think.

  Keep smiling,   Paul.

Hi,

My name is Sean,

I love quirky french and italian cars, Citroens, Renaults & Fiats mainly. I bought a large 1:10 scale (I believe) model of the Vel Satis, at the Paris motorshow in the early 2000s, probably when the car was launched. It has no interior detail as the glass is painted grey and the model is solid, but it is a highly accurate model, probably about 400mm long or so. It looks very much like one of those car designer styling models and it is mint in box. It was purchased direct from renault at the motor show stand and has no model manufacturers details. If I recall it has an authentication certificate. It looks pretty stunning in grey metallic paint.

Just wondered if anyone else has seen one of these before and whether they know much about them. I cant see anything at all about them on Google.

I will try to upload some photographs soon.
