Its difficult for me as i work for Renault themselves and i could get in alot of trouble if i list the things Renault didn,t want the public to know about.

I do know someone who got in serious trouble about the same thing on a forum he was a member of,it got back to the wrong people and it all went very wrong for him.

I'm not suggesting you post the information without permission, David! The point is that it shouldn't be kept quiet by manufacturers in the first place. There is a distinct lack of transparency throughout the motor industry, unfortunately.

No error codes and on investigation the offside drive shaft splines were found to be excessively worn. New drive shaft to be installed next week, parts and some of the labour covered by the "warranty". I will try and get some images of the defective part, if it has not already found its way into the scrap bin.

Currently suffering the experience of Fiat 500. Small, dark, gutless with narrow seats and bolsters cutting into the side of my legs. Missing the torque, space, sunroof and comfort…not long now

So maybe not all bad news, hopefully it will be all covered and no real damage done.

I was looking the price up of d/shafts recently and the o/s is way cheaper than the shorter n/s one which is strange.

Crikey……a quick trip to Google "Renault OTS Vel Satis" delivers quite a few results….

Yes, you can find the OTS documents online, in pdf form, for the TDC Sensor, Injection Computer re-programming and Manual Gearbox, in English.

Normal service has been resumed. All working well, sadly no photos. Glad to see the back of the Fiat, though it did go round corners rather well. Anyone have experience of the Arbarth version?

Dave, sorry to see your selling up. It sounds like a good package for someone. What are you moving onto next ?
